Dr. Sanjiv Chopra

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Tremont on November 12, 2015 for the first forum of the 2015-2016 school year with Dr. Sanjiv Chopra, a world-class physician, best selling author and motivational speaker.

Additionally, Dr. Chopra serves as the James Tullis Firm Chief in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Chopra is a leading academic in Continuing Medical Education and reaches out to 80,000 clinicians in 150 countries each year.

Dr. Chopra is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades including being designated a Master of the American College of Physicians and receiving the American Gastroentrological Association’s Distinguished Educator Award.

Dr. Chopra’s talks focus on leadership, healthy living and medicine, especially for young people. His philosophy closely aligns with Tremont’s philosophy of education.

“The mind is only one part of the human triumvirate,” Dr. Chopra says. “I want to inspire others to live healthier, balanced lives and to make a difference in this world by leading. All of us have the potential to become exemplary leaders at many levels. To do so, one must have a sense of purpose, dare to dream big, and live a life of integrity so that others will be inspired to embark on their own leadership journey.”

In 2013, Dr. Chopra and his brother, Dr. Deepak Chopra, published the book Brotherhood: Dharma, Destiny and The American Dream. He is also the author of the books Leadership by Example: The Ten Key Principles of All Great LeadersDoctor Chopra Says: Medical Facts and Myths Everyone Should Know, and Live Better, Live Longer: The New Studies That Reveal What’s Really Good—and Bad—for Your Health.
